TARDUS

CONCRETE SURFACE RETARDER FOR EXPOSING CONCRETE AGGREGATE EVENLY

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
Apply TARDUS at 150 square feet per gallon by spraying. Spay after seeding aggregate and floating concrete. Wait until the surface water has started to retreat into the concrete before spraying. Cover if it rains before the concrete is set.

WASHING INSTRUCTIONS
Wash in about three hours after placing concrete. Test for readiness to wash by scratching retarded surface with a hard, sharp object such as a nail. When the base is set the concrete is ready to wash. Use plenty of water with high pressure and a stiff broom for effective cleaning. Flush with clean water after brooming the retarded concrete loose. Do not allow water to run into or over areas where concrete is yet to be poured such as tilt-up panels. Should this happen, rinse thoroughly with clean water.

GENERAL WASHING RULES

  • HIGH TEMPERATURES:

Wash in about three hours after placing concrete.

  • MEDIUM TEMPERATURES:

Wash concrete placed in the morning in the afternoon.

  • COOL TEMPERATURES:

Concrete may set overnight and be washed first thing the next morning.

WARRANTY
Properly applied TARDUS will produce even, clean exposed aggregate concrete surfaces. Since TARDUS reacts according to the temperature, it is up to the consumer to decide the proper time to wash the concrete. The manufacturers liability is limited to refunding the purchase price of the product.
